About the role

The Associate Professor (Occupational Therapy) leads the coordination and delivery of the Occupational Therapy program on the Sydney campus. This role ensures curriculum quality and authenticity, oversees program design and review, and collaborates with student services to provide an exceptional student experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review key aspects of the Occupational Therapy program.
  • Coordinate subjects and prepare and deliver substantial components of courses.
  • Provide leadership for the program and campus-level staff.
  • Apply high levels of professional and discipline-related expertise in teaching and incorporate scholarship into learning activities.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging, relevant, and technology-enhanced curricula and lead collaborative teaching projects.
  • Offer academic counselling, mentoring, and advice to students while promoting the discipline within the University and broader community.

Qualifications, skills & experience

  • PhD in a discipline relevant to Occupational Therapy.
  • Current unrestricted registration as an Occupational Therapist with AHPRA’s Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality learning and teaching in a university setting, including course/program coordination and academic governance.
  • Proven ability in curriculum review, development, design, and delivery.
  • Established research publication record in Occupational Therapy and demonstrated capacity for securing research grants.
  • Strong commitment to the mission and values of the University, with evidence of professional contributions and achievements.
